MISSION
Beyond the Ball, Inc. exposes youth to the math, science and innovative careers beyond the game.
Beyond the Ball was created by Erica Molett, a Dallas mother of two and corporate CEO to ensure her son saw limitless potential for his future – both on and off the court. Dreams of becoming the next Kobe Bryant or Serena Williams often distract students from placing higher priority on their academic and career pursuits. Yet, less than 2% will play pro sports. So, what about the 98?
Industry & Career Exploration
Students will learn from the life and career journeys of sneaker industry professionals, before designing their own education and career roadmaps that lead to their dream jobs.
STEAM Education
Students will learn professional skills, including 3D and AI design, sustainable fashion engineering, business planning, and more! Industry vocabulary lessons and quizzes will be included.
Project-Based Learning
Teams will apply the lessons learned to their Capstone Projects, designing AI fashion collections, sustainable manufacturing strategies, pricing models, and marketing plans.
